Sunday - June the 25th in church life

Dear friends, when the church in Torun was planted (November 1979) almost since the beginning we paid attention for the youngest ones at our fellowship. Today the church in Torun has three groups of children. They are formed according the age of children. Each group has usually two their leaders with some volunteers who help in times of need. Our Sunday school year begins in beginning of September and finishes around 20th of June. Children go on summer holidays. The same was last Sunday 25th of June. In the church we had small celebration. Children and their teachers got from each other some "token of appreciation" for last year. Children got books appropriate to their age. The oldest got books just to read, the youngest to read with the help with their parents. As always the same was mentioned Sunday. It gave a lot of fund and joy for all to see how children grow and move in understanding. Some of us adults reminded times when we as children were standing in front of others and were quoting Bible verses. How time goes on.... Our prayers are that Bible teaching will not finish why they left church doors, but in their homes they will keep and continue the "fellowship" with the Bible. Some of our church children will move to an older group teenagers and after summer they will not return to Sunday School, but most of them will continue new year in September 1st. Final closing words directed to all parents at the service on Sunday morning were given by: Michal, Ewa and Tadeusz. Please pray with us that children who attend our church various activities will join in numbers our more regular Sunday School Bible teaching. Let's remember that what we get in our childhood will bring fruits in the future in our lives.

The same Sunday church picnic took place at 4 pm. On town age in the forest about 30 people gathered to spend time in most restful manner. Szymon our church member (former JW leader) was sharing with us how important is to understand the "marks" of cults. At the picnic was time for rest, games, snacks, talks. Time of nearly four hours run out very quick. This is what we want to continue in our fellowship. This brings us together in understanding each other. In the world where we are taught to be rather in distance with others this activity break the wall. Please enjoy some pictures and try to recognize known faces.
